Congratulations! Every year the Denton Juneteenth Celebration Committee honors a group of ordinary people making an extraordinary impact on the lives of people within our community during the “A Better Way Enterprises” Denton Hometown Hero Reception on June 16, 2018 at 2;00 p.m. During our 2018 celebration, the committee has chosen to honor a very special group of people: TEACHERS
As an honoree, we are cordially inviting you to attend several events that the committee is hosting and where you will be recognized:
- Annual Gospel Night Extravaganza, June 15th at Fred Moore Park; event begins at 6 p.m. and honorees will be recognized at this event as well.
- Annual Juneteenth Parade, June 16th; all the honorees will be in the parade. Line up for the parade begins at 11a.m. in the parking lot of the Civic Center. We are asking that each of you brings a decorated vehicle with your name, business name,and any awards/special recognition you have received to the parade. The parade will begin at 12 noon.
- “A Better Way Enterprises” Denton Hometown Heroes Reception, June 16th, at the American Legion Hall Annex at noon where the honorees will be recognized. You will receive a token of appreciation from the committee. Please invite your family and friends to this reception.
To ensure that we are able to honor each of you, please send your t-shirt size and two (2) candid photos of yourself to our secretary, Sharetta Lee at firstname.lastname@example.org, with the subject line “Hero 2018.” You may also send your pictures via text message to 940-597-8639. Please remember to add your name and all aforementioned information with the text message.
